Aluminum Oasis, guitar vocal demo. Words and music by Michael McNevin. Performed by Michael, recorded in an empty house on School St in Feb 2018 in Niles CA, near Michael's home in the SF Bay Area. Recording by Tom Prasada-Rao on Tom's traveling studio gear. Song was written in a cabin in Idaho on the Salmon River in 2016, about someone in a trailer in a desert in Barstow, go figure.

You need a shade tree mechanic? you got room in your yard?

Aluminum Oasis Photo. This isn’t the lonely mechanic in Barstow the song depicts, but the Redwood Ramble Fest has it’s own aluminum oasis. Here’s a casual and candid hang of festival neighbors sharing songs and laughs by the trailers. I’m playing Michael Ryge’s camp guitar. Captured by friend and photog Tim Konrad, this photo won a couple awards for Tim. He is a long time Staff Photog for Strawberry Music Festival, Redwood Ramble, other fests. Thank you Tim, for aiming a loving lens at our music family here in California. Come visit sometime.
